PATRICIA LYNCH
1964 - Lemoyne D'Iberville
Since leaving LeMoyne my
life has taken me in many directions and through the up and down spills
that life has to offer. Longueuil is so far away in the memory bank, but
I would like to visit Montreal again one day. Living in the States isn't
that far away, but other little things seem to get in the way and all of
a sudden, I realize it's been 32 years since I last was in Montreal!
This school year I have a student who speaks French and the old rusty
Mr. Dunant French is coming back!
Have lived in several countries outside of Canada and the US and the
experiences in each one I wouldn't trade. My husband, Desmond and I
started our world trek in Libya and then it was off to the sunny
Caribbean for four years. Eventually we did had a transfer to Holland
from the US and our last transfer was to Saudi Arabia. While one of our
three children was a senior in high school, Des also did a year in Korea
while I stayed behind in the States.
Our two sons are on their own and have flourishing careers and they have
given us the three grandchildren. We are very proud of the children and
especially our daughter Kerry, who is a Special Olympian. She and her
husband represented Ontario on the provincial soccer team some years
back and earned a bronze medal for their efforts. Both she and Brian
vigorously pursue their sporting ventures and are keen to try all
offered.
Retirement is coming for me from the teaching profession in another
couple of years and I look forward to the standard retirement "package"
of travel to see old friends and new haunts.
For those of you in BC - WOW!! We love Victoria and seriously considered
it for a retirement spot, but oh....those house prices! All of you who
went out west years ago, what smart Lemoyners you all turned out to be.
Thanks to all of you who have contributed to the website. It has been a
pleasure to get to know you all again. |
